More than a hundred autism researchers will be featured at the world’s largest conference on brain science, in Washington, D.C., this coming week. As the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), Neuroscience 2014 is expected to draw some 30,000 investigators from more than 80 countries.
This year’s symposia and poster presentations will focus scientific discussion on the early findings from ongoing studies – before the research appears in peer-reviewed journals.
"When it comes to advancing our understanding of brain development and promising future therapies, SfN is the world’s most important research conference," says Autism Speaks Chief Science Officer Rob Ring. "Breakthroughs being discussed at this year’s conference will provide an important window into the innovations that will improve function and quality of life in the years ahead."
