Scherer included in annual list of “Nobel Citation Laureates” for genetic discoveries associated with autism

(Sept. 29, 2014) Thomson Reuters has named geneticist Stephen Scherer, director of Autism Speaks Ten Thousand Genomes program (AUT10K), among its nominees for the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Dr. Scherer also directs the University of Toronto’s McLaughlin Centre and the Centre for Applied Genomics, at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. The hospital is one of 14 centers in the Autism Speaks Autism Treatment Network.
