2013 MEETING ON IMPROVING MEASUREMENTS IN TODDLER INTERVENTION STUDIES FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS

INVITATION AND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

   

This conference will bring a small, focused group of investigators together to present preliminary work and discuss challenges in the field of intervention research for toddlers with or at-risk for ASD.

Topics of interests include: Preliminary results on new intervention strategies in international contexts, unique challenges in working with toddlers at risk for ASD, prevention of ASD symptoms and measurement issues in early intervention. These may include, but are not limited to promixmal and distal outcomes, comorbid conditions and long term follow up.

Abstract Submission and Registration:
In order to register, please fill out a registration form (click here to download). Registration will be made on a first come, first available basis with preference given to those who have submitted an abstract for presentation. Abstracts will be reviewed and assigned as either an oral or poster presentation. Limited support for lodging is available for oral presenters and two authors per poster. There is no registration fee. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Young Investigator Awards
The committee is eager to support new researchers in this field and the meeting can support up to five awards of $1,000 each to cover lodging, travel and meals in conjunction with attendance to this conference. Investigators in a Ph.D. program, postdoctoral position or in the first three years of their career are eligible if they have submitted an abstract for presentation at the meeting. To apply, please send your abstract, a CV and an email requesting consideration for the award. Also, please arrange for one electronic letter of recommendation to be sent on your behalf by the award application deadline of March 1, 2013.
