April’s “Autism Matters” podcast features interviews with researchers Paul Shattuck and Anne Roux, of Philadelphia’s Drexel University. Drs. Shattuck and Roux discuss issues surrounding employment support for adults with autism, as well as the barriers that those with autism face when looking for and maintaining employment. In particular, they call out the importance of the recent Autism Speaks Employment Think Tank.
They also discuss the need for researchers to form partnerships with the autism community when pursuing research on adult support services.
